HEALERS RE-Treat at Ranch in the Oaks

Last weekend, nestled under the wide Texas sky at Ranch in the Oaks in Argyle, a powerful circle of women gathered for a retreat designed to nourish those who give so much to others. Therapists, a yoga teacher, and an occupational therapist came together not just as professionals, but as healers — ready to explore, release, and reconnect.

Themes That Moved Us: Belonging, Blocks, and Becoming

We journeyed through three potent themes:

  • Belonging — the deep human need to feel seen and held.
  • Blocks — the internal and external barriers that keep us from our fullest expression.
  • Becoming — the unfolding of who we are when we allow ourselves to be witnessed and supported.

Through expressive arts, psychodrama, and the grounding presence of nature, each woman found her own rhythm. The land itself seemed to hold us, inviting vulnerability and truth. There was laughter, tears, movement, and stillness — all woven into a tapestry of transformation.

Dropping Into the Heart

What struck us most was how quickly the women dropped into their hearts. Within hours, strangers became sisters. The depth of connection was palpable — a sacred container where masks fell away and real stories emerged. We witnessed courage, softness, and the kind of healing that only happens when safety meets intention.

This retreat significantly exceeded my already high expectations. The Ashleys knocked all the important things out of the park – thematic focus, variety of offerings, creating supportive community, balancing being serious about doing healing work with an overall friendly relaxed vibe, location, food, commitment to the work- all of it. I came away with some important things for myself personally and for my therapy practice. I’m already looking forward to the next one!

Gratitude for Community and Safe Space

There’s a unique magic in building community among healers. We often hold space for others, but this weekend was about holding space for ourselves and each other. The gratitude was overwhelming — for the safe container, for the shared wisdom, and for the reminder that we are never alone.

As we packed up and said our goodbyes, hearts were full and spirits renewed. The ripple effect of this retreat will be felt in therapy rooms, yoga studios, and healing spaces across— because when healers heal, we all do.
